Our Background:
Education and Experience:
Both Mary Ann and Mimmo have had the privilege of being schooled in Italy, where they developed a profound appreciation for its rich culture and exquisite cuisine. While Mary Ann attended Loyola University in Rome, Mimmo pursued his education at La Sapienza University in Rome, as well as Bocconi university and Cattolica university in Milan, both are fluent in the Italian language. Their deep-rooted connections to Italy extend beyond their education – with relatives in Sicily and Milan, and ownership of their family home on the picturesque Amalfi coast.
Family Legacy:
Our ties to Italy extend to our family home on the Amalfi coast, Sicily and Milan and our family restaurant, Da Mimmo Finest Italian Cuisine, which graced Baltimore’s Famous Little Italy for 36 years.
A Culinary Legacy:
Our journey began with Da Mimmo Finest Italian Cuisine, our family restaurant in Baltimore’s Little Italy for 36 years. Out of the restaurant, the tours were born, Da Mimmo Tours was born in 2010. As we approach our 15th anniversary, we continue sharing our passion for Italian cuisine and culture.
